Assumption of Risk, Waiver & Indemnity Agreement – DISCLAIMERS & CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION & ENTRY
We have a zero tolerance on any drugs and alcohol. Any person found in possession of, or suspected to be involved with, drugs or alcohol will be isolated by security, staff or volunteers and their parent/caregiver will be asked to collect them immediately. It is possible the Police will be involved if illegal substances are found.
We have a zero tolerance on possession of any weapons, on fighting, bullying or generally abusive or disruptive behaviour. Any person with weapons or behaving in this way will be isolated by security, staff or volunteers and their parent/caregiver will be asked to collect them immediately. It is possible the Police will be involved.
Bags or large jackets may be searched at the discretion of the event organisers and at any time during the event. Failure to comply may result in admission and participation being denied.
Our commitment
The event organisers and team being City Impact Church, its staff, security and all volunteers
- will take all reasonable steps to provide a safe environment and to minimise exposure to known risks.
- will take all reasonable steps to keep registered attendees onsite but will not physically restrain any person to stay on the premises.
- will not accept responsibility for any injury, harm or loss or damage to person or property attendees may suffer while attending the conference or anywhere on the premises including participation in any activities, whether organised by, or on behalf of, City Impact Church or which may be independently undertaken during the event.
Your commitment
The attendee agrees:
- to act at all times in a safe and appropriate manner regarding their own safety and the safety of others.
- to abide by and obey all reasonable and lawful rules, requests and instructions given by the event team and organisers.
- to remain on site if so instructed by their parents/caregivers.
- to report any behaviour to the event team that is contrary to the rules.
The organisers of Global Youth Conference reserve the right to change any of the published event details without notice and have the final say on any matter relating to the event.
Youth Code of Conduct and Rules – CODE OF CONDUCT FOR ATTENDEES
While attending Global Youth Conference, I/We will
RESPECT PEOPLE – I can honour God with how I treat others. I’ll show respect to everyone around me, including staff, leaders, volunteers and other youth. This includes what I do and what I say. I’ll listen when others are speaking and I’ll show gratitude for what others do for me.
RESPECT PROPERTY – Being allowed to use what belongs to others is a privilege. I’ll take care of all facilities, vehicles and property. I will not wilfully damage property and will report anyone I observe damaging property or taking what does not belong to them.
RESPECT MYSELF – I am responsible for the decisions I make. I’ll be a positive role model to others around me and behave in an appropriate way.
RESPECT RULES – I will make wise choices and obey leaders and staff at all times, listen to all reasonable and lawful instructions and follow all the rules given by leaders, event team and security.
BULLYING – Bullying will not be tolerated. This includes any attempt to harm, intimidate, isolate or force someone to do something. Bullying can be both physical or non physical such as being verbally abusive.
SUBSTANCES – No drugs, tobacco, vaping or alcohol is allowed. If I am found to have these or are suspected of being involved with these I will be isolated and my parents/caregivers called to collect me and the Police may be called or involved if illegal substances are found.
CLOTHING – No inappropriate clothing is allowed – this includes clothing with logos, phrases or graphics that contain profanity, sexual or offensive content, racial slurs or hatred. Short shorts/skirts, shirts that show midriffs, low-cut shirts, see-through and revealing clothing is not allowed. The event organisers and team (City Impact Church) will have the final decision and no discussion will be entered into. If the clothing is deemed offensive or revealing and is not changed, I will be removed from the event, my parents/caregivers contacted to collect me immediately and possibly prohibited from further attendance.
WEAPONS – No weapons of any type (including pocket knives), nor items deemed by the event team to be dangerous, are permitted and will be confiscated. The event organisers (City Impact) will have the final decision and no discussion will be entered into if the items are deemed dangerous. Certain items deemed illegal (eg. long blade knives) could result in the Police being involved.
PERMITTED CONTACT – No inappropriate contact with other youth is allowed at the event -this includes holding hands, kissing and any kind of intimate or sexual activity or lewd behaviour. Attendees are expected to remain in visible places and not be in isolated areas alone or with others. Contact with others should be age appropriate and no older attendees should be alone with younger attendees. Any inappropriate behaviour observed should be immediately reported to a leader or security.
GENERAL BEHAVIOUR – Any behaviour that threatens harm or loss to other attendees, staff or leadership or their property will be dealt with decisively. Stealing, lying, fighting, bullying, insulting, swearing, vandalism or other disruptive behaviour towards attendees, staff or volunteers will not be tolerated.
By registering for Global Youth Conference, you are acknowledging that you understand, and agree to abide by, the Code of Conduct and Rules.
If you break any of these rules, you will be isolated and a parent or guardian will be called to collect you immediately and you will not be allowed to attend the rest of conference.
Parents/Guardians, by registering your pre-teen/teenager for Global Youth Conference (or attendees of legal age registering themselves), you acknowledge that they understand the Code of Conduct and Rules, and that you are responsible for collecting them immediately if they are deemed to have broken any rules or are generally disruptive.
Medical Waiver
Medical Waiver & Medical Treatment Consent
- That while every precaution will be taken to ensure attendee safety, City Impact Church, its staff, security and volunteers acting on its behalf are hereby released from any and all liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, damage or loss that may occur to the child or their property.
- I/We hereby give permission to the First Aid staff/volunteers or paramedics to ensure proper treatment. I understand that every effort will be made to contact me before instituting such procedures.
- I/We agree to pay all such doctor, ambulance, and hospital fees incurred on behalf of my child(ren).
- I/We have attached a list of any health information about my child that the First Aid staff/paramedics need to know.
- Food Allergies – we agree that attendees will manage their food allergies and the event organisers and team will not be responsible as the event will not specifically cater for food allergies.
Involvement Consent
- Give consent that my child(ren)r may participate in any/all activities over the course of Global Youth Conference (games, basketball, moshing, dancing etc.)
- If there are any activities I do not want my child(ren) involved with or they choose not to participate in then they will not participate and I agree that it is their sole responsibility to do so and not the responsibility of the event team or organisers (City Impact Church staff or volunteers).
Indemnity
- I/We acknowledge that we have evaluated and accepted the risks associated with the event and activities and that we will not hold City Impact Church, its staff, security or volunteers liable for any injury, loss, expense or harm suffered to persons or property, to the fullest extent permitted by law,
- I/We agree to indemnify City Impact Church against any accident, misfortune, damage or loss caused to, or suffered by, us, our child(ren) or our property.
